Below is a visual representation of what I believe best describes my own style.

I have a wide variety of interests, which differs over time in slight forms, depending on what I find intriguing at a given moment. Overall however, this page condenses my general interests and visual style - an amalgamation of locations, creatures, art, diagrams - even a certain, monotone, colour palette. I really enjoy a maximalist take on things - the more details something has; the more you can analyse and interpret a given piece of media, the more I, personally enjoy it.

To the left, my current Letterboxd watchlist. To the right and below are my current favourite films, and films I've watched and liked.

I really enjoy visually intriguing films, ones that make you think hard about what is happening - that drag you into the plot and make you forget you're observing a piece of media. Animation is a certain interest of mine, I'm artistically inclined and have a great appreciation for the effort put into animated films - whether it be hand drawn, stop motion, rendered, you name it. There is a certain charm to these films, and not as many limitations in comparsion to live action films - creativity is the main source in them.

I've included some film stills strewn across this page, to help visualize further the type of media I really enjoy and feel best describes my personal style. Two main inspirations I can say I really take from are the director Satoshi Kon and the film studio Laika - both based in animation, but each individually holding a fantastic element of visual storytelling (alongside the general narratives represented in films made by these two). I adore the sense of childlike wonder and mystery present in both instances of films - I've grown up reading stories and myths and fables constantly, this has definitely transferred into my interests now, both in film and otherwise.
