After having completed the previous tasks, we can now move onto brainstorming ideas for this section. Because of COVID-19, we settled on meeting each other through online meets. This proved to be very useful and practical - it was simple to quickly present and organise. We've been working together on websites such as Google Docs, Jamboard, etc in order to connect all our ideas in real time with ease. At first, we each had some separate ideas that we came up with, which we then started to write down. We slowly began to connect into a single "main idea". We will base off of this and develop further when creating a script. Of course, we won't be limited to what we come up with now, during the future creative process we might change some things.

Below is the evolution of our ideas:

We really enjoyed the idea of a chase scene as it proves to fit really well into the "psychological thriller" genre. The atmosphere of how we imagined this is suspenseful and filled with confusion - exactly the type of feeling we wish to engulf our viewers in. The audience should be confused, concerned, mimicking what we wish to represent the main character feeling. We want to film this using a variety of different shots - switching from POVs, wide shots, handheld, etc. The colours would be rather dark - possibly getting darker as the scenes switch and continue, to keep the air of uncertainty about the whole sequence.

This is close to the previous idea, just more of a change in scenery. We then brainstormed that there might be more about this sequence than what meets the eye - possibly an underlying story with the main characters mentality. Why are they running and distressed? What exactly are they running from? Why has the scene changed to where it is now? Again, the atmosphere here is very unsettling and mysterious - we want this vibe to stay consistent. The viewer will have to think about the character's situation - their psychological torment or descent into madness portrayed through this setting.

We've been inspired by the opening of the film "Killing Them Softly" - we all really loved the way that the scene cuts to a dark screen with a jarring sound and then return to the cheering of the crowd. However the plot of our film opening will be, we really want to incorporate and take inspiration from this somehow.

After mulling about these ideas and a couple, we decided to stick mainly to these two and expand off of them. So, our main ideas are as follows:

For our title and selling line, we spent quite a bit of time thinking these over and ultimately decided on the above. "Relocation", we thought, would be very fitting with the idea that the main character transverses their way through multiple different settings through their almost manic state. The selling line is a dictionary definition of the word "dissociation"; again fitting with the theme of a psychological thriller and possibly issues the main character might be dealing with.

Of course, these are not final, scratched in stone ideas - we will be continuously working on this, editing and coming up with new ideas. But as a starting point, we believe it's very well put out for us and helps us to imagine and think about what we will create once we get around to filming - however that will take place.
