Below is the general plan we organised in order to film our music video. We concluded that we would theoretically only need two days to shoot what we’d need - as our script proved to be fairly straightforward.
Day One:
On the first day, we want to start with the POV shots. We wouldn’t need our actor for this day, as we are only really filming the scenery and not any characters. All the same, Dan and I decided that we can still work together on this day - we can take turns filming, and if necessary keep an eye on each other whilst filming and crossing roads, walking along driveways.
Also, we imagine that as we film, we’ll come up with further ideas on how to continue our MV, as actually being out on the field is different to just theoretically planning what we want to create. Two pairs of hands are better than one, both here in the literal sense and then in the creative sense.
Day two:
On day two we plan to do the bulk of the film therefore we will bring all our equipment with us(lens, flashlight, cameras, precautionary weather robes). Upon checking the forecast, we found the weather on the day that we wanted to film was fairly poor, but luckily during the evening the rain would let up. This fit perfectly to our plan to film Eduard during the night, but all the same we planned to bring along raincoats and umbrellas.
Our second location is near the lake, still fairly populated yet this won't deter us. We plan on getting more walking/jogging shots of the character along with some more postmodern clips as the lighting fades of random objects to further fuel our artistic image/branding.
We discussed amongst ourselves, choosing that after 19:00 would be the best time to film, as we’d catch the sun setting and the lighting would darken accordingly to our script.
Risk assessment:
Since the areas we are filming in are familiar to us, we wouldn’t take as many precautions as we would in other locations. However, since we’ll be filming along fairly populated roads and parks, we might be hindered due to people walking in shots and - in the case of roads - cars passing along our path as we’d film.
As there’s three of us, we imagined that in most scenarios, one person would be able to keep a lookout for any immediate danger and take care that the actor and person filming is safe. Besides this, we will make sure to stick together as a group as it darkens outside - lower visibility in the low-lit area could be of danger.
